USB-C OTG Adapter - USB 3.2 Gen 1 - Rechthoekig - Zwart

Met de USB On-The-Go (OTG)-adapter kun je de USB-C poort van je smartphone of tablet veranderen in een USB 3.0 hostpoort (USB 3.2 Gen 1). Deze USB 3.0 poort kun je dan gebruiken voor de aansluiting van een USB-randapparaat, zoals een muis of toetsenbord. Of sluit een usb stick aan op je tablet, smartphone of eReader voor het verwijderen van gegevensopslag.

Deze adapter werkt via USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, maar kan ook overweg met vorige USB-versies. Het is niet mogelijk om een apparaat andersom aan te sluiten, dat wil zeggen, het is niet mogelijk om deze adapter andersom te gebruiken van USB-A naar USB-C. Het apparaat met de USB-C aansluiting is leidend. Deze adapter werkt alleen met apparaten die USB OTG ondersteunen.

OTG

Gebruik deze OTG adapter om een extra randapparaat aan te sluiten op je smartphone, tablet of camera. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan een USB stick, harde schijf, muis, printer enzovoorts. Een OTG (On-The-Go) adapter(kabel) wordt ook wel een host adapter genoemd en maakt een laptop of computer overbodig, super handig voor onderweg. De kant die aangesloten wordt op de smartphone, tablet of camera wordt ook wel de ‘host’ genoemd. De kant waarop het aan te sluiten apparaat aangesloten wordt, wordt ook wel de ‘slave’ genoemd.

SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 of 3.2 Gen 2

Deze USB versie wordt ook wel SuperSpeed USB (SS) genoemd. USB 3.2 is de nieuwste USB standaard en wordt onderverdeeld in Generatie 1 (Gen 1) en Generatie 2 (Gen 2). USB 3.2 Gen 1 en Gen 2 zijn exact gelijk aan USB 3.1 Gen 1 en USB 3.1 Gen 2.

Kort samengevat: Gen 1 ondersteunt 5 Gbit/s en Gen 2 ondersteunt 10 Gbit/s, de haalbare snelheid is ook afhankelijk van de kabellengte. USB 3.2 Gen 1 is daarmee exact hetzelfde als USB 3.0. USB 3.2 Gen 1 en USB 3.1 Gen 1 worden daarom ook vaak USB 3.0 genoemd.
